you for taking part in this year's Newmarket Santa Claus Parade on
Saturday November 21. Please read below for important information
regarding your participation in the Parade or as a spectator enjoying
The parade begins at the corner of Eagle Street and Lorne Avenue at
11:00am. It will then proceed east on Eagle Street to Main Street. It
will continue North on Main Street to Ontario Street. Due to the
construction on Davis Drive the parade will end at Ontario Street. The
floats will be disbursed between Ontario Street and Davis Drive.
There will be portable washrooms available at the school parking lot on
Lorne Avenue (North of Eagle Street), in the Lorne/Roywood area and at
the playground on the Cane Parkway.
Road Closures: Beginning at 8:00am.
Lorne Ave from Eagle St. North to Avenue Road (in front of Stuart Scott P.S.)
Lorne Ave from Eagle St. South to Towercrest Dr.
Cane Parkway - The northbound lanes from William Roe Blvd. to Roywood Cres.
10am Eagle Street from Lorne Ave to Main Street.
Please also be advised that Ontario Street and Superior are completely closed off and are used for construction storage.
Dropping off Float Passengers:
The marshalling area for the floats is on Cane Parkway from Mulock to
Eagle St. To drop off passengers who are participating in the parade,
you have the option of taking either Eagle Street or Mulock Drive to
Follow Sandford St. to William Roe Blvd.
Go East on William Roe Blvd. to Towercrest Dr.
on Towercrest Dr. to Lorne Ave. (Marshaling Area) This corner is the
drop off and then turn right to exit area. There will be volunteers to
help direct you.
be advised that since we are float #46 you can drop off the volunteers
closer to our float on Cane Parkway south of . You cannot stop the flow
of traffic though so pull over into a space to let off passengers.

Participants (walkers/float riders):Please make sure to arrive no later than by 10:30am.
The Parade disbanding area will be on east side Main St. between
Ontario St. and Davis Dr. All participants are to cross at Davis Drive
following traffic signals and walk along the north sidewalk to the
Tannery to meet parents. The Tannery is being used as a participant pick
your child is on the float Vision Staff will be walking with them to
the Tannery. If you have a little one volunteering we suggest you join
us as well.
note that there is no shuttle services and if you park by the
Marshaling area, you will have to find a way back there. Try to carpool
as much as possible.
try to wear the Vision Dance Academy colours of Teal, Black and White
and the little ones are encouraged to wear princess dresses over their
coats and snow pants to tie into our Aladdin theme this year.
